PROJECT L.I.L.A : Let Inspiration Live with Amaya
Our
Mission: Project
L.I.L.A is a non-profit organization who is actively engaging children and adults
with life-saving and life-enriching assistance and knowledge, to strengthen and
support children affected by Cancer. We pride ourselves on working hard to
provide helpful information, support family needs, and single-minded focus on
the needs of the young. Our main focus will strive to make a lasting difference
in the lives of children and their families, as well as our communities. Our
Goal: Goal
is to raise money for a noteworthy childrens cancer foundation, to create
awareness of the search for a cure, methods of natural and medical health care,
provide information on care centers in the community as well as enlighten a
child's life and bring a helping hand to the children and families in need. The
L.I.L.A Project Was Born: My
friends and I were deeply touched by the massive number of these beautiful
children in need of proper health care and financial assistance. We knew we had
to do something more to help. Collectively we sat down at a family gathering
throwing ideas around as to how we could help create an impact and donate our
time towards a worthy cause. Together the next logical step was to no longer talk
about it and be proactive, The L.I.L.A Project was born!

Jesselyn
Martinez Children's Advocate Jesselyn
is a mother of two beautiful children who first hand knows how it is to
have your child in the hospital and hear the freighting words “Sorry but your
child is very sick” When her son was only 5 months he was hospitalized and very
sick. His first Christmas was spent in the hospital. Jesselyn knows how
difficult it is to work, be a wife and a mother of a child who not only went
through illness but also suffers from other disabilities and seeks all the help
from doctors and research analysis. She
has involved herself in this charity because she feels that children are the
future and should have a chance in life to experience being a child. She also
knows the expenses that build up when you have a child in the hospital; she
wants to help in any way possible and feels very strongly about this cause. “ I
am a mother and never want to see another mother go through the pain of losing
a child, so I want to help in any way I can.” | ![]() |
Millie
Rivera Foundation Manager I
am a mother of two amazing children and a grandmother of two beautiful kids. MY
daughter, Lila, has inspired me to be a part of this integral cause. I have
watched her grow into a woman with definition and ambition with selfless
intentions. Her desire to help these children and their families, and make a
difference in their lives, is honorable and very humbling. Therefore I want to
offer compassionate and positive support and encourage her to fulfill and
succeed with this mission. My
father was my hero, and when he was in the hospital for colon cancer, he smiled
at me through all his pain and said “do not worry about me” a symbol of
strength and beauty. He will always live on in my heart forever. In 2009, I
lost a friend, Marlene, who had been struggling with cancer for many years, she
was a fighter but this illness won and took her away from us. I
will be empowered to actively and meaningfully participate in this quest to
help these children and make a difference in their lives and in our community.
I am very proud of my daughter and will stand beside her in all her endeavors
and let her inspiration live on. | ![]() |
